I came across a very economical and efficient soap and dispenser combination this last week. I don't know if you have researched Dr. Bronners soap at all, but it I highly recommend that you do! With Dr. Bronners you can use it for virtually anything and it is much easier on our bodies and the ecosystem as well. The great thing about Bronners is that it comes concentrated in bottles and it requires only a few drops in water (so it goes a long way). The only problem I ever had with it was that at times it was hard to get to lather... until I discovered a new trick. I bought some foaming hand wash (like Dial brand) and dumped out the soap (it would have been better if I could have just found the pump bottles) I then rinsed it out really well and got all of the old soap that was loaded with chemicals and fragrances out. I then filled the bottle with water, added about 6 drops of Bronners and it foams great! It hardly takes any Bronners and the Bronners bottles are refillable, meaning zero waste (except the soap & water). Bronners comes in many varieties and even has a baby version. I am replacing all of the hand soap pumps in my house and am using the foaming pumps in the shower. I imagine that a bottle could last a year between the (kitchen & bathroom handwash, and as a body wash/shampoo in the shower). It also makes my dogs very soft and the tea tree Bronners helps rid flees during the summer! My personal favorites are the eucalyptus or almond.
